Kohvieri has the largest selection of Dunoon mugs
Dunoon ltd is a successful family business that started manufacturing the highest quality mugs in 1974 in Dunoon, Scotland. The idea was to produce high-quality stoneware mugs, filling a gap in the market with user-friendly original mugs with beautiful designs. Dunoon mugs have been made in Staffordshire, the traditional heart of the Potteries, since the early 1980s and many are still made there today. Their mugs are made from fine bone kaolin using a traditional slip process. China clay is known for its strength, fineness and whiteness, which allows it to be decorated in almost any style.
In 1982, a new factory opened in Stone, Staffordshire, the heart of the pottery industry, and under the leadership of Gordon, Alan and Peter Smith, Dunoon developed a policy of working with a wide range of designers and artists to constantly update their product range with new designs and unique mugs. figures in Fine Bone China.
Skilled craftsmen and strict quality control are key to Dunoon's philosophy of producing mugs of the highest quality, well designed in both shape and pattern and crafted with the greatest care for the most demanding customer.
Dunoon uses high-quality Fine Bone China clay from Cornwall, South West England, which contains bone ash to give the mugs transparency, brilliant white and strength.
Dunoon uses local skilled craftsmen at every stage of production, many of whom have worked for the company for years. All Dunoon mugs are inspected and passed by applying the Dunoon Shield.
